I Challenge You To Set Goals with Intention and Vision

As we enter this new year, it’s the perfect time to think about our goals and set ourselves up for success in the coming months. But goal setting is not just about confidence—it’s also about acceptance, compassion, self-love, and trust.

Making sure that your goals are S.M.A.R.T (specific, measurable, attainable, relatable to your vision, and time-sensitive) can help ensure that you make headway towards achieving what you want this year—but there's more to it than that. You have to feel your goals in order to truly embody them.

Connecting with Your Goals on a Deeper Level

As you start to map out your intentions for the year ahead, use all of your senses to connect with your goals on a deeper level. Visualize what success looks like for you—what does it look like? What does it feel like? How do you interact with others now that you have achieved success? Smell the scents associated with success; taste the flavors of accomplishment; hear the sounds of achievement; and touch the tangible items that signify progress made. Doing so will help bring those goals closer into reach as they become more real to you and take on new meaning throughout this process of mindful reflection.

Take Time To Reflect On Your Progress

Making sure that we are taking care of ourselves and our mental health is an important step in achieving any goal we set out for ourselves—so don't forget to incorporate some form of reflection into your goal setting process! Taking time to pause and reflect on how far you have come allows us to recognize our accomplishments thus far while giving us time to reset our intention if need be. This can be done through journaling, meditating or even talking through our progress with someone else who supports us in achieving our goals!

The start of a new year is a wonderful opportunity for us all to reset our clocks and create meaningful intentions for ourselves which align with who we are at our core – but these intentions must be connected deeply within us in order for them to manifest fully in reality. By connecting with each of our senses as we plan out our path ahead we are able to gain clarity around what we really want; by taking time every now and then throughout this journey we can track our progress while also adjusting as needed along the way!

All of your goals should strengthen your relationship with YOU. It's not just about confidence-- it's about acceptance, compassion, self-love, and trust. This then ripples outward into how you show up in the world and with others.

Here's wishing everyone a successful 2023 full of intentional goal setting and a clear vision!
